Get a fal.ai API key

fal.ai serves a catalogue of image and video models through a single API key. The whole flow takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Open fal.ai and sign in

    Go to fal.ai and click Sign inat the top-right. You can sign in with Google, GitHub, or email. If you don't have an account yet, the same flow creates one.

  2. Open the API keys page

    Once signed in, go to fal.ai/dashboard/keys. You can also reach it from the sidebar: Settings → API Keys.

  3. Create a new key

    Click Add key. Give it a name you'll recognise later — for example, Majik. Confirm and the key will be generated.

  4. Copy the key now

    The full key is shown once. Copy it immediately — fal.ai will only show a prefix afterwards. If you lose it, you can always create a new one and revoke the old.

  5. Add credits to your account

    fal.ai bills per generation, so you need a balance before anything will run. Open fal.ai/dashboard/usage-billing and add a payment method or a one-time top-up. You only pay for what you actually generate.

  6. Paste the key into Majik

    In Majik, open Settings → Provider, find fal.ai, and paste the key. That's it — fal.ai models will appear in the model picker next to your prompt.
