Replicate

Get a Replicate API token

Replicate hosts an open-source model catalogue behind a single API token. Tokens start with r8_.

  1. Sign in to Replicate

    Go to replicate.com/signin. Replicate signs in via GitHub only — you'll be sent to GitHub to authorise. New accounts are created automatically on first sign-in.

  2. Open the API tokens page

    Go to replicate.com/account/api-tokens. You can also reach it by clicking your avatar in the top-right and choosing API tokens.

  3. Use the default token, or create a new one

    Replicate provisions a token named Default for every account — you can use that one. To make a separate token for Majik, type a name (e.g. Majik) into the Enter token name field and click Create token.

  4. Copy the token

    Each token row shows a masked prefix like r8_xxx*****. Hover the row and click the copy icon (a small double-square) to put the full token on your clipboard.

  5. Add a payment method

    Replicate is pay-as-you-go. You need a card on file at replicate.com/account/billing; without one, runs fail with an authorisation error.

  6. Paste the token into Majik

    In Majik, open Settings → Provider, find Replicate, and paste the token. Replicate models will then show up in the model picker.
